A Flames game at home needs three things: a good screen, good company, and good drinks. Here's the essential game-day drink list for Calgary hockey fans.
24-pack of something reliable: Canadian is the classic Flames game beer. Coors Light for the lighter crowd. Throw in a 6-pack of something interesting for variety — a local craft IPA or a Heineken for the international flavour.
A bottle of Crown Royal or Forty Creek rye for intermission rye-and-gingers. It's basically mandatory in Calgary. Keep the Canada Dry stocked.
Coolers or seltzers for anyone who doesn't drink beer. A bottle of wine for the partner who thinks hockey is "fine." Non-alcoholic options for the DD.
