Have your ID ready before the driver arrives. Every delivery requires ID check — it's the law, not a suggestion. Digging through your wallet while the driver waits on your porch isn't ideal for either of you.
If you're in an apartment or condo, include your unit number and any entry instructions when you call. "Buzz 304 and I'll let you in" saves time. If your house is hard to find, mention landmarks.
If paying at the door, have cash or your card ready. This keeps the interaction quick and smooth.
If ordering at night, turn your porch light on. Drivers navigating dark streets and unmarked houses is the most common cause of delivery delays.
If the driver calls or texts because they can't find you, pick up. A missed call can delay your delivery significantly.
Not required but always appreciated. Drivers are out in Calgary weather (including -30°C nights and snowstorms) bringing drinks to your door. A few dollars goes a long way.
